Up to 35% of the heat in your home is lost through the walls. Since the 1920's the majority of homes have been built by constructing brick walls with an air-gap, or "cavity", of approximately 50mm between the inner and outer wall. Insulating this cavity is one of the best ways to stop heat loss through the walls and reduce the amount of energy you need to heat your home.

If you are having problems due to poorly installed cavity wall insulation or due to flood damage etc we are able to extract the existing cavity insulation, carry out remedial work and then re install new cavity wall insulation.

What Happens?

Our surveyors will visit your property to confirm if your home is suitable. At this stage they can also establish if you are eligible for any grant funding. Our surveyors will carry out an Energy Performance Assessment on your property highlighting any areas for energy improvements.

Once we know your property is suitable for cavity wall insulation we will make a suitable appointment for our Cavity Wall Installation team to drill small holes about the size of a two pence coin in a specific pattern as specified by the Manufacturers into the outside of the property.

The installation team will then use specialist equipment to blow insulating material into the cavity. The material is mineral wool fibre made from a high percentage of recycled material. All the holes drilled are re pointed using a dye in the cement to match, as closely as possible, the original pointing.

The insulating material creates the effect of your home having a jumper on! This means much less heat is able to escape and you won't have to use as much energy to keep your home warm inside.

Once your cavity wall insulation is fully installed, Rheinegold Contracts will apply to the Cavity Wall Guarantee Association (CIGA) for your 25 year guarantee, leaving you with peace of mind as well as a warmer home.

Why bother? – simple!!

Cavity Wall Insulation allows you to keep your home warmer in winter and cooler in the summer. By filling the cavity between your external walls you'll be preventing warm air escaping, helping maintain a comfortable temperature within your home AND help save you money on your energy bills.

How much does Cavity Wall Insulation cost?

Each home is different, that's why we insist on a survey of your property. What is the same are the results of cavity wall insulation, your home will feel warmer and your bills should go down!

Without details of your property it's difficult to give you an accurate price. However, you can expect to save around £250 per year on heating bills. So an average pay back is around 2 to 3 years on a 3 bed semi.

Current Grant Funding
At the moment we are able to offer FREE cavity wall insulation (subject to survey). This may not last long as funding is constantly changing with the next review due early in 2017.

If you would like a survey to confirm your eligibility please call 01977 615698 or use the request a call back at the top of the page.

Thanks.
